Well, well.... again I'm overwhelmed. You guys are killing me here. I do not deserve all the affection and attention you so generously give to me and my family. Evi is living in the gifts, and I am so loving my shoes & bag and especially the t-shirt ... you little shits!!!

Life is good at 40, but I hate the whole middle-aged thing. Who knows where the middle of any one's age is. One of life's great mysteries.

James has been on location shooting a film, and I have been alone with the kids. For some reason, I still can't bring myself to get a nanny or whatever. I just want to raise my kids myself, but I'm losing myself in the process. I need a little time to be creative, or even just alone. I can't even poop by myself. Evi is great, but all she wants is boobie...and it's too much information I know.

We are also moving into a new house...again. And I'm doing it all by myself without James here to organize and we all know how organized I am (cue laughter). It's exciting, but a lot of work. It's a big old house that needs so much work. I've been packed for weeks and not able to move in until work is done...work that keeps getting more and more extreme.

So I apologize for not naming you all specifically for the generous gifts...your amazing giant cards are in limbo with my office. But I was impressed by Andrew's penmanship and the truly beautiful sentiment. I love you all, and really needed your thoughts this year.

As for work...I'm turning stuff away and holding out for something my children can be proud of. Needless to say, that it has been a challenging road back. I want to work. I tested for a pilot ("Viva Laughlin") they hired some other gal...I don't think it's going, but I put my heart and soul into the attempt. It was a musical kinda like Cop Rock, but they blew it by not hiring me. I woulda kicked ass!!! Anyway...over it.

I just want to do something challenging, interesting and worthwhile. If I have to leave my kids with somebody else, it has to be for a good project, or something interesting. Maybe James will have a good part for me this summer in his independent pilot that he is producing down in Florida. More on that later.

I love you guys and really wish I was a big, interesting movie star so I could have more to chat about. But I'm just Kari...a mom, a struggling actress, and a 40 year old woman...who looks pretty smokin' right now thanks to stress, Skip my trainer, and uberhappy love.

Love you Kooks. Thanks for the gifts and the time spent on my behalf. You make me blush, you make me laugh, and you make me feel special.
