Forbidden Love
Sonny Corrinthos and Jason Morgan entered a club called “Silk” owned by Carly Benson. Jason was meeting his girlfriend, Sam McCall, and had dragged Sonny along because she told him that she was bringing a friend. They were both heavily involved in the mafia. Sonny was the mob boss and Jason was his hit man. It wasn’t exactly what Sonny pictured doing when he was growing up but it did put food on his table and clothes on his back. He had never been in a serious relationship and that’s the way he wanted it because he never wanted anyone to get hurt on account of his business and not to mention the fact that he never trusted the women he slept with. Jason had been his best friend and business partner for years. He was the only person Sonny could trust because of the FBI agents that were so desperate to find incriminating evidence against him. Sonny was worried because he hadn’t seen an agent in months, which was unusual. The FBI would continually harass Sonny and he was getting use to it.

So there they were and they could hardly hear each other talk over the loud music playing. They walked over to the bar and sat down. Sonny looked directly across the bar and saw two beautiful young women staring at him and Jason. They smiled and got up and walked away. Sonny started to look around for them in a panic. The two women were out of sight until Jason tapped Sonny on the shoulder.
“Sonny.”
“What?” He turned around and was completely astonished by the extremely gorgeous woman standing in front of him.
“This is Sam, my girlfriend, and her friend…”
“Reese Marshall.” Reese said, finishing Jason’s sentence. “Nice to meet you…” She said while extending her hand out to Sonny.
“Sonny Corrinthos.” He shook her hand and held it for a minute. There was a spark between them but was interrupted by Jason and Sam’s heavy lip lock.
“Boy, they don’t waste anytime.” She gave Sonny a half of a smile.
“Yeah. Hey, listen, do you want to let them continue doing what they’re doing and come dance with me?”
“Sure.”
They walked out onto the dance floor and started dancing. Sonny watched her hips sway from side to side. ~And I'm on tonight You know my hips don't lie And I'm starting to feel it's right All the attraction, the tension Don't you see baby, this is perfection~ All of a sudden the music changed from fast to slow. There was a moment of awkwardness. ~I want to, I want to be someone else or I'll explode~ Sonny felt someone push him towards Reese. It was Jason and Sam. Jason gave him an encouraging look to go ahead and go for it. So with that, Sonny wrapped his arms around Reese and she wrapped her arms around him. ~You want me, well fucking well come and find me I'll be waiting with a gun and a pack of sandwiches And nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing~ They could feel the heat intensifying. Reese looked into Sonny’s eyes and saw passion and lust. She rested her head on Sonny’s shoulder and smiled. If only he knew what was really going on. Out of impulse, Sonny kissed her. Then he pulled away, afraid of what her reaction might be. Sonny was taken aback when Reese pulled his face to hers and kissed him back. ~You want me, fucking come on and break the door down I'm ready, I'm ready, I'm ready, I'm ready, I'm ready...~“Do you want to get out of here and go somewhere a little more private?” Sonny whispered in Reese’s ear, trying to catch his breath.
“Ok, just let me talk to Sam and then we’ll go.”
“Ok.” She walked over to the bar where Sam and Carly were.

“Hey.” Sam said when she saw Reese sitting down next to her. She leaned close to Reese while Carly poured them a drink. “So is it working?”
“Almost. I just need to seal the deal.” Reese told her while taking out her wallet and then took out her badge. Sam did the same and both of them handed their badges to Carly. “I’ll come by in the morning to pick it up.” She watched as Carly put both badges behind the bar into a bag.
“That late, huh?”
“Please. This is Corrinthos. He has a reputation of picking up women at bars and nightclubs, sleeps with them, and then discards them the next day like yesterdays garbage. Besides, the plan was to give him what he wants long enough to distract him, get the evidence we need to send him to prison and get out.”
“Yeah, I know the plan. I’ve already tried it with Jason remember?”
“And you failed.”
“Only because Sonny was suspicious of me. Not to mention the fact that the evidence we’re looking for is in Sonny’s penthouse, not Jason’s. So when you find the file, take pictures of it so that we can still use the evidence and obtain it legally.”
“Alright.”

“Hey, you ready to go?” Sonny said, coming up behind Reese and wrapped his arms around her.
“Yeah, lets go.” Reese said while getting up and left with Sonny.

Sonny was driving while Reese let her hand slip on his leg. ~I'd like to put you in a trance, all over~ A small moan escaped Sonny’s mouth as her hand went even further up his leg. They arrived at his penthouse before Reese could reach Sonny’s inner thighs. While on the elevator, Sonny could not control himself any longer. He pushed her up against the elevator wall and began kissing her passionately. When the doors open, Reese and Sonny stumbled out of the elevator still caught up in the taste of each others lips. Sonny managed to unlock the door to his penthouse while kissing Reese at the same time. Almost immediately after Sonny slammed the door shut, Reese grabbed his hand and led him over to the couch where she threw him down and climbed on top of him. He ran his hands up her shirt and pulled it over her head, then threw it on the ground. He worked his way down to her skirt and pulled it down until it completely left her body. ~Erotic, erotic, put your hands all over my body Erotic, erotic Once you put your hand in the flame You can never be the same Only the one that hurts you can make you feel better Only the one that inflicts pain can take it away~ They removed the last of their clothes. Without a second thought, he entered her. He started slow, then went faster and faster until they were both in complete ecstasy. After they spent hours devouring and pleasing each other, Sonny wrapped a blanket around them and held Reese tightly in his arms as they both fell asleep.

It was about nine o’clock when Reese woke up and realized how long she had stayed. Sonny was still asleep so she still had a chance to get the evidence she needed and leave before he woke up. She carefully slipped out of Sonny’s embrace and grabbed her clothes and put them on. Then she grabbed her purse and took her digital camera out. She started to search through Sonny’s papers that were on his desk until she found the files she was looking for. With her camera, she took several pictures of it and put the files back exactly how she found them. Sonny started to wake so Reese shoved her camera back into her purse.
When Sonny realized that Reese was no longer laying down next to him, he started to look around for her. He saw her sitting in a chair near his desk.
“Hey, your not planning on leaving are you?”
“Well, what were you expecting? That I’d stay here all day and night?” She watched him as he got dressed.
“Actually I was hoping that we could get to know each other a little better.”
“Oh, really. Isn’t that a little odd for you to spend a day with a woman you hardly even know.”
“That’s my point. We could get to know each other. So, what do you say? Spend the day with me.”
“Ok, fine. You talked me into it. Just let me go and stop by my place so I can change.”
“Alright. I need to check on a few things anyway. So how about you met me at Kelly’s in about an hour.”
“Sounds like a plan. See you then.” She grabbed her purse and left.
Reese couldn’t believe what she had just done. She had just agreed to date the mob boss that she was about to send to prison. She’d have to put that on hold, for now anyway. First, she wanted to have a little fun. After all she did deserve it.

She went home, showered and changed. She took her camera and set it down on her dresser. Then she left and headed for Kelly’s. Sonny was waiting there for her at a table. She walked in and sat down across from him. They ordered food and talked about their childhoods, work, and their friends.
“Reese, there’s something you should know.”
“Oh, and what would that be?”
“I’ve never done this before.”
“Done what before?”
“This. Dating. Normally when I sleep with someone, I don’t ask them out on a date.”
“Then why didn’t you just sleep with me? Why did you ask me to spend the day with you?”
“Well, I don’t know. I’m beginning to like you a little bit. That and I was secretly hoping for a repeat of last night.” They both laughed.
“You know, you’re really an arrogant bastard. You know that.”
“Yeah, well you can’t blame a guy for trying.” Sonny was amazed at how beautiful Reese's smile was.

Reese spent the next few months getting to know Sonny. At the same time, she was trying to buy herself a little more time with Sonny so she told her boss, John Durant, that Sonny was starting to get suspicious of her so she would need more time to gain his trust. Reese called Sam and asked her to meet her at her apartment. When she heard a knock on the door, Reese opened it.
“Reese, what the hell is going on?” Sam said angrily while walking into the apartment. “You told Durant that you needed more time to get the evidence we need to nail Sonny but we both know that’s not true. So do you have it or not.”
“Yes, I have it but it’s not that simple.”
“If you have the pictures, then what’s stopping you from using them?”
Reese took a minute to think about Sam’s question. She knew exactly what was stopping her. Suddenly Reese’s phone started to ring. It was Sonny. She answered it while Sam watched her, trying to figure her out.
“Hey, I was hoping it was you…Sure…It’s a date…I can’t wait… Bye.” Reese hung up the phone and looked over at Sam, who was eyeing her suspiciously. “What? Why are you staring at me like that?”
“I can’t believe you. You are willing to risk your career for some common thug.”
“Sonny is not just criminal. He’s so much more than that.”
“You know what, fine. If you want to flush your entire career down the toilet for a dangerous mob boss, then you go right ahead and do that. But if you do, then your gonna have to do it alone.”
“Oh, come on. Can you honestly say that you don’t feel the same way about Jason?”
“No, of course not. You know that I’m just using him.”
“Oh, really? Is that why you’re still dating him even though he’s pretty much useless when it comes to bringing down Sonny’s organization?”
“Fine, fine. I’ll admit it. I’m just as pathetic as you.”
“Hey! Watch who you call pathetic.”
“Sorry…”
Just then the phone rang.
“Reese Marshall…I already told you Durant, there’s nothing there…I don’t have any pictures because the files weren’t there…Well you know what, I am sick to death of your attitude…I quit!” She slammed the phone down on the table. She took her camera and started to delete the pictures she had taken of the files at Sonny’s penthouse. “Sonny can never find out about this.”
“You can trust me. I won’t say anything.”
“Good.”

A couple of hours later, Reese met Sonny at the Metro Court. He was waiting there with a dozen roses. When she walked up, Sonny stood up and handed her the roses and kissed her softly on the lips.
“You look beautiful.”
“Thanks.” Music started to play.
“Do you want to dance?”
“Sure.” He stood up and took her hand in his. He led her to the middle of the restaurant and put his arms around her. ~Wise men say only fools rush in but I can't help falling in love with you Shall I stay would it be a sin~
“Reese, there’s something that I’ve been meaning to tell you.” He looked deep into her eyes. He held both of her hands in his. “I love you.”
“Sonny…” Reese said, almost out of breath.
“Shhh, it’s ok. You don’t have to say it just because I did. I just wanted to let you know how I feel about you.”
“Sonny, I love you too.”
“Really?”
“Really.” With that, Sonny scooped Reese up into his arms and kissed her. ~some things are meant to be take my hand, take my whole life too for I can't help falling in love with you~

Chapter 2
About another month later, Sonny asked Reese to move in with him. She accepted and moved into the penthouse with Sonny while Sam moved in with Jason across the hall. Both couples couldn’t be more happier but one man and one event was about to change all that.

Reese, Sonny, Jason, and Sam all went out that night on a double date. They were at the Metro Court having drinks. They all noticed that something was off with Reese. She seemed more distant than usual.
“Reese, are you ok?” Sonny asked as he gently grabbed Reese’s hand.
“Huh? Oh, yeah. I’m great. Why?” Reese told him.
“Well, it’s just that you seem so far away tonight.”
“I have a lot on my mind right now.”

“Such as...” Sam inquired.
“My father. He’s coming tomorrow from Florida.” Reese admitted.
“Don’t worry, Reese. Everything will be fine.” Sam tried reassuring her.
“You obviously don’t know my father that well. He’s still upset about me divorcing my ex-husband. I swear, he loved Ric more than he loved me.”

When Dan, Reese’s father, arrived at Port Charles, he had found out that Reese was involved with Sonny Corrinthos. He had gotten so angry that he asked her to stop seeing Sonny. When that didn’t work, he threatened to reveal her deepest secret; that she was an FBI agent sent to destroy Sonny. Even that didn’t persuade Reese to stop seeing Sonny. Dan left the next day to scheme against his daughters relationship. He felt that Sonny wasn’t good enough for Reese. There was only one man, in his eyes, that was worthy of his daughters love.

Meanwhile, in Port Charles, Reese upset about the way her father had left but was content with her decision to stay with Sonny. They were going on five months and still couldn’t get enough of each other. That night, Reese and Sonny went to the club. When they got there, they found Jason and Sam at a table and decided to join them. They were all having a good time when all of a sudden, Sonny grabs Reese’s hand and leads her over to the bar.
“Sonny, what’s going on?” Reese said with a half smile.
He just looked at her in wonder. He was so lucky to have her in his live and wanted to make it permanent. “Reese...” He began as the music seemed to fade away and all that was left was them. It was as if they were in a gigantic bubble and they were the only one’s there. “I have never been in love. I’ve tried to protect myself by distancing myself from everyone and avoid any potential emotions I might have for someone. That was...until you came along.” He paused as he looked into her eyes and saw tears starting to form. “I found myself having feelings for you that I thought I could never have for anyone. I know it sounds like a cliche but I can’t eat. I can’t sleep without you by my side. What I’m trying to say is...” He couldn’t hold it in any longer. Sonny got down on one knee and held out a beautiful ring in a small black box. “Reese, will you marry me?”
Reese couldn’t fight the tears any longer. “YES, YES, I’ll marry you!” She shouted with excitement.
Sonny, with a huge smile on his face, slipped the ring on Reese’s finger, then scooped her up in his arms. He spun her around once then kissed her. Reese broke the kiss which confused Sonny.
“Wait.” Reese said.
“What?” Sonny wasn’t sure what was wrong.
“Why here? Why did you propose to me here, at this particular spot?” She questioned.
Relieved, Sonny gave her a sly smile. “Because this is where we first met.”
Reese was so touched that Sonny would have remembered something that was insignificant. That’s why she was in love with him. He knew her better than she knew herself. At this point, he is the only one who could make her happier than she’s ever been and he’s the only one who could cause her pain.

One week later in Florida:
Dan was waiting for an important call from someone who was in Port Charles. One call would change everything. The phone started ringing. Dan answered. “Hello?...It’s good to hear you, too. So have you seen her yet?...Well you better hurry up and get our girl back before she marries that thug...Yeah, I’ll wait to hear from you.” He hung up the phone, content with himself for what was about to happen.

That same day in Port Charles:
Reese was waiting outside at Kelly’s for Sam. They were suppose to go over wedding details. She sipped her coffee as she continued to wait.
“Is this seat taken?” Said a voice behind Reese.
She whipped her head at the recognition of the voice. Just as she thought. It was none other than her ex-husband Ric Lansing. She turned her head back and continued to look down at her coffee.
“What the hell do you want?” She asked angrily.
“Nothing. Can’t a man just say hello to his ex-wife?” Ric said innocently and sat down across from Reese.
“No you can’t. Now leave.” Reese was becoming increasingly agitated.
“Woah! Not so fast. So who’s the new boyfriend?”
“Excuse me?” She shot an angry look at him.
“Look, Reese. There’s no need to beat around the bush. Your father already filled me in.” He stood up and looked down at her. “Sonny Corrinthos, huh? Well...good luck. From what I hear, you’re gonna need it.” As Ric walked away, Sam showed up.

Sam approached Reese.
“Reese, are you alright? You look like you just saw a ghost.” Sam said with concern.
“Nope. Just my ex-husband.”Reese replied with a little sarcasm in her voice.
“Really? What did he want?”
“I’m not sure but he’s up to something. I’m sure of it.”

Chapter 3
Everything was going smoothly the next couple of months. Reese and Sonny planned the entire day right down to the minute, with the help of Jason and Sam. Their wedding was tomorrow and to celebrate, Jason and Sam decided to take them to the place were it all started; the club. They were enjoying themselves. Reese and Sonny were dancing and kissing. They couldn’t keep their hands off of each other.
Ric was also there. He saw Reese and Sonny and couldn’t help but be disgusted. Ric noticed that Reese’s drink was left unattended. This was his time to make his move. With that, Ric walked over to Reese, Sonny, Sam, and Jason’s table. He reached deep into his pocket and pulled out a white pill. He slipped the pill into both Reese’s and Jason’s drinks and, with a smug smile, watched as it dissolved before his very eyes. Ric left without being detected.
Reese and Sonny returned to their table and sat down across from Jason and Sam.
“So, are you guys nervous about tomorrow?” Sam asked and took a quick sip of her drink then sat it back down on the table.
Reese looked lovingly into Sonny’s eyes as she answered Sam’s question.
“Of course not. I’m marrying the man I love. I couldn’t be happier.” With that, Reese leaned in close to Sonny and captured his lips with her own.
“Ahem. Save it for the honeymoon.” Sam said.
Both Reese and Sonny pulled away and laughed. Then Reese lifted her glass and took a sip from it. Sonny whispered something into Reese’s ear that caused her to giggle.
“I need to use the ladies room. Sam?” Reese said as she stood up and began to walk over to the restrooms. Sam followed, leaving Sonny and Jason alone.

“What about you? Are you nervous Sonny?” Jason asked and took a sip of his drink.
“Honestly, I can’t wait to make Reese my wife...” Sonny started. “But...”
“But what Sonny?” Jason questioned with curiosity.
“I...” Sonny leaned in close to Jason and spoke in a soft tone, almost a whisper. “I feel like Reese is keeping something from me.”
“Like what?”
“I don’t know but I have a feeling I’m not gonna like it.” He admitted.

Just then, Reese and Sam returned.
“So, what were you two talking about while we were gone?” Reese asked.
“We were talking about how much I love you.” Sonny lied. He leaned in close to Reese and kissed her ever so lightly on the lips, enjoying the warmth feeling from her lips. As he pulled away, Sonny noticed that Reese looked like she was just hit over the head with a baseball bat.
“Are you alright, baby?” Sonny asked concerned for Reese.
Reese closed her eyes and shook her head. “Yeah, I’m fine. I just have a headache. That’s all.” When Reese said that, Jason realized that he too had an annoying pound going on in his head.

It was about 11:50 and it was almost Reese and Sonny’s official wedding day. Reese had ordered Sonny to leave because it would be bad luck if he had seen her on their wedding day. Since it was late and Sonny didn’t want Reese to go home by herself, Sonny had ordered Jason to drop Reese off at the Metro Court and he would take Sam home. So Reese and Jason said their goodbyes to Sonny and Sam and then left the club.

On the drive to the Metro Court, Jason and Reese continued to get throbbing headaches. They both started to feel a little dizzy like they were there but didn’t have control over their actions. When they got to the Metro Court, Jason walked Reese up to her room. Reese could tell that whatever she had, Jason had also come down with it. So being the kind woman that she is, Reese invited Jason in for a glass of water. Everything after that seemed to happen so fast and became blurry for both Reese and Jason.

Reese woke up the next morning with a pounding headache; one that was worse than before. She reached for her head but stopped dead in her tracks when she felt an arm around her. Then she realized that she wasn’t wearing anything underneath the sheet that was covering her. She slowly turned her head to the side and almost screamed her head off when she saw Jason laying next to her in bed. She had no idea what was going on but she was hoping that Jason could answer that.
“Jason...Jason, wake up.” She ordered in a soft tone as she carefully shook Jason long enough to wake him.
His eyes shot open. Jason scooted to the other side of the bed to put some distance between them. “What the hell is going?” Jason asked in confusion.
“I was hoping you could tell me.” Reese held the sheet up to keep herself covered up.
“You mean, you don’t know?” He asked getting angry. “How could you not know. What did you do? Black out or something?”

“Like I said before, I don’t know. The last thing I remember was you driving me to the Metro Court then I invited you in for a glass of water.”

Suddenly, there was constant pounding on the door. “Reese, open the door.” It was Sonny. He got worried when she didn’t call to let him know that she got there okay. “Reese.” Sonny hollered.
“Reese...” Suddenly there was another voice at the door. “It’s Sam. Is Jason there with you. He didn’t come home last night and I’m worried about him.” Sam watched as Sonny pulled a key card from his pocket and opened the door with it. Reese and Jason sat on the bed, naked, and too shocked to move. Sonny and Sam followed the trail of clothing with their eyes. There they stood in horror at the sight of Reese and Jason in bed together.

Sorry to disapoint you Sarah. But I have yet to write the ending, it's still forming in my head and trust me it will blow you all away...or make the ReeSon fans cranky. I'm not quite sure yet so bare with me.



Chapter 4
It had been a year later since Reese’s perfect life fell apart. Both Sonny and Sam were furious after finding Reese and Jason in bed. Since Sam was so angry by what she saw, she accidently let it slip that Reese was with the FBI and was sent there only to send Sonny to prison. Both relationships ended that day. It took Jason and Reese a long time to convince Sam that they had no idea why they did what they did. Sam ended up taking Jason back. The speculation of someone possibly slipping both Jason and Reese a drug came up but it was never pursued. However, despite the fact that Reese had managed to get through to Sam, she had failed at getting through to Sonny. So Reese moved out of the penthouse and moved on with her life. Later on, Ric managed to manipulate Reese into giving him a second chance. Everyone was happy with this; Ric, Reese’s parents, everyone except Reese. She rejoined the FBI and was forced to work under Durant’s jurisdiction again, which she hated but for some reason she felt good about sending the bad guys to prison. Reese still lived in Port Charles but avoided Sonny as much as she possibly could. Reese was now being assigned a mob related case. There were reports of a shooting that was suppose to happen tomorrow night at the docks. She was also assigned another partner, Sam. Both women were excited to be working with each other again. So to celebrate, Sam and Reese decided to go clubbing.

Sam had arrived a few minutes early and dragged Jason along. She had forgiven both Jason and Reese and trusted them. When Reese arrived with Ric by her side, it stunned Sam. ‘Why on earth would Reese be with a man she’s not in love with?’ Sam thought to herself.
Sam and Jason stood up from their table to greet them.
“Hey Sam.” Reese said approaching closer. “You look great.”
“Thanks. So do you.” Sam replied.
“Sam, you remember Ric.”
“Hello, again.” Sam said to Ric. For some unknown reason, Ric gave Sam the creeps.
“Ric, this is Jason. Jason, this is Ric.” Reese said, introducing them.
“Hi. Nice to meet you.” Jason extended his hand out to Ric.
“Nice to meet you, too.” Ric took Jason’s hand and gripped it hard, almost as if he were trying to crush grapes.

Jason’s attention quickly turned to Sonny, who had just walked into the club looking for Jason. Sonny’s heart fell into his chest the second he saw Reese. She looked different from the last time he saw her. Sonny’s hands started to clinch and his blood started to boil when he saw another man holding and kissing Reese. It killed Sonny to watch another man put his hands all over Reese. Despite the fact that they were broken up for about a year now, Sonny didn’t like the fact that Reese has already moved on with someone else. He tried for months to forget about Reese. She lied to him for months and she had slept with his best friend. Sonny already had a hard enough time trusting anyone other than Jason. If he could no longer trust Jason, then he couldn’t trust anyone. If only things were different. Sonny thought.

Jason released himself from Ric’s death grip and quickly walked over to Sonny. Everyone followed Jason with their eyes. Reese’s became breathless once she saw Jason walking up to Sonny. ~It's been seven hours and fifteen days Since u took your love away I go out every night and sleep all day Since u took your love away Since u been gone I can do whatever I want I can see whomever I choose I can eat my dinner in a fancy restaurant But nothing I ~ She missed him so much that it caused her so much pain just to see him standing there. She wanted him but knew that he could never trust her again. Reese inadvertently locked eyes with Sonny from across the room. It was as if they were a million miles from everyone else and were the only two people there. Ric noticed the connection between both Reese and Sonny which instantly repulsed him. Trying to get Reese’s attention, Ric grabbed her hand and dragged her out on the dance floor. ~said nothing can take away these blues `Cause nothing compares Nothing compares 2 u It's been so lonely without u here Like a bird without a song Nothing can stop these lonely tears from falling Tell me baby where did I go wrong I could put my arms around every boy I see But they'd only remind me of you~
Ric wrapped his arms around Reese’s waist as she gave him a faint smile. He held her close, his claws clutching into her so she wouldn’t leave. Reese rested her head on Ric’s shoulder. Despite the fact that she was dancing with Ric, she couldn’t keep her eyes off of Sonny. Sonny wasn’t even listening to a word Jason was saying. He was too distracted with Reese.
“Sonny, are you listening to me? Hello?” Jason snapped his fingers and waved them infront of Sonny’s face.
“Huh? Oh, yeah. Of course. So, the Ruiz Family arrives here at eight tomorrow night. Have everyone in position at seven. I’ll be there at seven thirty. Ok?” Sonny said trying to shake the thought of Reese out of his head.
“Ok. Hey, Sonny, are you alright? You seem distracted.” Jason added.
Sonny continued looking over at Reese. “Listen, Jason. What can you tell me about this new guy that Reese is seeing?” Sonny asked casually.
“Not much. I just met him. But I can tell you that Reese is dating her ex-husband, Ric.” Jason admitted.
“You can’t be serious. I thought she hated him?” Sonny had a million possibilities running through his mind.
“So did I. But its her decision, not ours.” Jason also looked over at Reese and Ric, then back at Sonny. “I think its best that we leave them alone. She seems happy, Sonny. Just let her be.”
Sonny ignored Jason and started heading over to where Reese and Ric were. Sonny turned his head away from Reese for about a split second. Then when he looked back to where she was, she was gone. He started to look for her frantically but had no luck. So Sonny went back over to Jason and Sam and sat down with them at a table.

Reese and Ric had gotten thirsty so they went to the bar. Reese saw Carly hand the couple next to them a bunch of drinks, then she went over to Reese and Ric.
“So, what’s it gonna be?” Carly asked, waiting for them to order.
“Carly, it’s me Reese.” Reese said.
“Reese? Wow It’s been a long time. I haven’t seen you in years. So how have you been?” Carly asked, curious as to why she wasn’t with Sonny.
“I’ve been doing pretty good. And you?”
“Okay, I guess. It’s been pretty busy lately.”
Right then, they heard a loud screeching noise that sounded worse than nails on a chock board. “'cause we are Living in a material world And I am a material girl You know that we are living in a material world And I am a material girl A material, a material, a material, a material world Living in a material world (material) Living in a material world” Some drunk guy was on stage trying to sing along to Material Girl.
“Who the heck is that guy? My god, he’s terrible.” Reese commented.
“I know but that’s why they call it karaoke.” Carly answered as she bent down and grabbed two beers, then opened them and handed them to Ric and Reese.
“Uh, they should call it scary-oke instead.” Reese added.
“Then why don’t you go up there and show ‘em how it’s done.” Ric said to Reese.
“What? No. I couldn’t possibly...” Reese said shyly.
“Oh, come on, Reese. I’ve heard you in the shower. You have an amazing voice.” Ric said.
“Yeah, come on, Reese. Just give it a shot. I mean what could it hurt, right? Besides, I’m sure that everyone would rather listen to someone who can actually sing.” Carly added.
Reese thought about it for awhile, then nodded her head in agreement. “But what would I sing?” Reese asked as they all smiled at her.
“Anything you want. Come on. I’ll help you pick something out.” Carly suggested. Both Carly and Reese left and went on stage just as the previous performer was done torturing the audience. Reese picked a song and decided that she was going to give it her all; without holding back. Since Sonny was still there, Reese wanted to take the opportunity to let him know how she was feeling.
Reese carefully took the microphone in her hands as she saw Carly getting off of the stage and back behind the bar. Once the music began to play, Reese started singing; slow at first, then finished off with so much power, aggression, and emotion flowing through her passionate voice. “Now I will tell you what I've done for you 50 thousand tears I've cried Screaming deceiving and bleeding for you And you still won't hear me Don't want your hand this time I'll save myself Maybe I'll wake up for once Not tormented daily defeated by you Just when I thought I'd reached the bottom I'm dying again I'm going under Drowning in you I'm falling forever I've got to break through I'm going under Blurring and stirring the truth and the lies So I don't know what's real and what's not Always confusing the thoughts in my head So I can't trust myself anymore I'm dying again I'm going under Drowning in you I'm falling forever I've got to break through So go on and scream Scream at me I'm so far away I won't be broken again I've got to breathe - I can't keep going under”
Sonny sat there listening and watching attentively to Reese. Her beautiful, angelic voice managed to get through to him. He could tell how much pain she was in and how much anger she felt towards him.

Chapter 5
After singing, Reese hurried off the stage and made her way through the very pleased audience. Everyone was clapping, whistling, and screaming for more. Reese was on her way back over to where Ric was but she was stopped by Sonny, who stood there in front of her.
“That was some performance.” Sonny told her.
Reese stood their for a moment, not sure of how to respond. Then she began to walk past him as she spoke. “Yeah, well, thanks.”
“Reese...wait.” Sonny grabbed her arm and turned her around to face him. “Can I talk to you?”
“Isn’t that what you’re doing here, Sonny?” Reese said sarcastically.
“What I mean is... can you come by the penthouse tomorrow so we can talk privately?” Sonny asked. He seemed different. His eyes were softer and his voice was a little desperate and sad.
“Why should I? Huh? So, what? So you can call me a liar again? And tell me how betrayed you. How you’ll never trust me again? No, I don’t think so, Sonny. I have too much respect for myself to go through that again.” She said with so much pain and resentment in her voice.
“That’s not why I want to talk to you. Can you just please come by tomorrow? What I have to tell you is...it’s important.” Sonny pleaded desperately.
“I’m not making any promises.” With that, she walked away. Then it hit her.
A huge mob war was going down tomorrow between two major mob families. Sonny was more than likely going to be one of them. Reese was told to go to the Metro Court tomorrow night to stop the mob war and arrest them by any means necessary. In other words, Sonny and Reese were going to be face to face in a mob war on opposing sides.
Reese was deep in thought when she felt a soft kiss on her cheek.
“See, now that wasn’t so bad, was it?” Ric asked sweetly and gave her a reassuring smile.
“It was okay...So do you want to get out of here?” Reese asked.
“Sorry. I wish I could but I have to go down to the station. Durant want’s me to be prepared for the mob war tomorrow night .”
Reese looked at Ric shocked.
“Didn’t Durant tell you?” Ric asked.
“No. He failed to mention it to Sam and me.” Reese became increasingly annoyed.
“Well, I’m going with you and Sam. Durant and a swat team are coming in later with more back up.” Ric explained.

The next morning, Reese woke up to an empty bed. Ric must have been preparing for the mob war all night. So Reese got up, got dressed, and went for a walk through the park. She had to get out and clear her head before she went to go see Sonny. She knew that the Metro Court was going to be nothing but blood shed and Reese was afraid that Sonny was going to be apart of that. As Reese walked through the park, she came across a man and a woman. They couldn’t keep their hands or lips off of each other. Reese noticed that the woman was pregnant. The man rubbed her very pregnant belly and kissed her again. They seemed so happy. That was all Reese wanted. She wanted so desperately to be happy with Sonny but there was no chance of that happening now. Reese continued watching the happy couple for a little while longer, then eventually left and headed for Sonny’s penthouse.
Reese was in the elevator, on her way up, when she started to feel anxious. She wasn’t sure what was going to happen or why Sonny wanted her there in the first place.
She got off the elevator and noticed that there were two guards in front of Sonny’s door and in front of Jason and Sam’s door. They were obviously expecting trouble in the next few hours.
Reese approached the two men in front of Sonny’s door.
“Mr. Corinthos is expecting me.” Reese said.
“Ah, yes. Go right in.” Max said as both men stepped aside to let Reese go inside.
Reese carefully turned the door knob and opened the door. She saw Sonny sitting at his desk, yelling at someone on the phone.
“You heard me I want you to make sure that everyone is in place by seven. And I mean everyone No exceptions ” Sonny screamed into the phone then slammed it onto the desk. He let out a heavy sigh as he rubbed his face with both his hands, not even noticing that Reese was standing behind him.
“Is this a bad time?” Reese asked from behind him, still standing by the door.
Sonny turned and immediately lit up when he saw Reese standing there, looking more beautiful than ever before.
“No, of course not. Please, come in. Make yourself comfortable.” Sonny said as he stood up and walked over to the bar. Reese closed the door behind her and continued to stand. Sonny started pouring himself a drink. “Do you want anything?”
“Yeah. I want to know why I’m here, Sonny.” Reese said impatiently.
“Alright, I’ll tell you. But first, can we sit down?” Sonny asked.
“Would you just cut to the chase. I don’t have all day you know.” She snapped.
“Oh, that’s right. The FBI found out about my meeting tonight with the Ruiz family.”
“And yet, you’re still planning on going through with it.”
“So, what’s it to you? I am after all a criminal and you’re a federal agent. Isn’t it your job to catch me in the act, not try and stop me?” Sonny said with sarcasm.
“God, Sonny. It always goes back to that with you, doesn’t it? I’m the lying FBI agent who will do anything just to bring you down, right? Well, believe what you want but I do care about you, Sonny, enough to tell you that if you go through with your plans to execute the Ruiz family then you will either be arrested or killed. So do the smart thing and call off this meeting with the Ruiz family.” Reese warned him.
He looked down at the ground then back at Reese, locking eyes with her. “Do you love me?” Sonny quickly changed the subject and his tone causing Reese to be taken aback by his question.
“What? What kind of question is that, Sonny?” She chuckled a little as a way to ignore the question. “That’s not even what we were discussing. Besides, I...I don’t see how that’s important.” Reese began to stutter as she spoke.
“It’s important to me.” Sonny moved closer to Reese. She turned her back to him. “You’re right. I might die tonight but if I do I want to die knowing that you still have feelings for me. So, I need to know right now. Do you still love me, Reese?”
She hesitated, then turned around again to face him. “I never stopped loving you.” Reese managed to say. She had so much emotion in her eyes, along with tears starting to form.
“That’s all I needed to hear.” He moved so close to her that his body began to press against hers. He quickly captured her mouth with his. ~Love be still love be sweet dont you dare change a thing I want to photograph you with my mind To feel how I feel now all the time Say that you'll stay Forever this way Forever and forever That we'll never have to change Dont move Dont breathe Dont change Dont leave And promise me Say you'll stay We'll stay This way~ Her arms slowly went around his neck as his were roaming all over her body. He pulled away which confused her at first but then he began to lead her upstairs to his bedroom were they made passionate love.
When they were done, Sonny wrapped one arm around Reese as she lay there on his chest. ~I get afraid Dont think ahead Lets just stay This way in bed Feels so good inside your arms Home is everywhere you are~ He began to gently stroke her hair.
“I missed you. You know that?” Sonny whispered softly. “When you were gone.”
“Then how come you never told me that you missed me? What were you so afraid of?” She sat up on her elbows and looked at him.
“Nothing, it’s just that...well...you’re a fed.” He said in a husky voice.
Reese could feel the anger in her wanting to come out. “So what, Sonny? Are you afraid that I’m going to send you to prison?”
“Well, yes. I mean, it’s not your fault that I feel this way.”
“But it’s my fault that I’m a fed, right?” She raised her voice a little.
“Yes, but...” He began but couldn’t help but notice that Reese had the look of anger and frustration on her face.
Reese threw the covers off of her and began searching for her clothes in a huff.
“Why are you angry?” Sonny asked.
“I’m not angry.” She said as she started getting dressed. He too got up and began getting dressed.
“Reese...” He spoke in a firm tone, giving her a serious look.
“Ok, I’m angry Sonny.” She looked him straight in his eyes and raised her voice even more, to the point were she was almost yelling. “I tried so hard to convince you that I loved you, that I was on your side. And yet, you still see me as the lying fed. Despite the fact that I even destroyed evidence to protect you. But do you want to know why I’m so angry, Sonny?” She paused for a second, then lowered her voice and continued. “What makes me really angry is that I gave up my job for you and yet, you won’t do the same.”
“I can’t. Not even if I wanted to. You know that.”
“That’s not true. You can give up states evidence and become a legitimate business man.” She looked deep into his eyes and began to speak in a soft tone. “But you can’t, can you? It’s obvious that you love your business more than you love me.” She began to walk down stairs, then headed towards the door.
“Reese, wait ” Sonny hollered from behind her. “Please, just hear me out.”
“You know what, Sonny? I’ve hear enough. If you were smart, then you would call off the meeting. But if you don’t, don’t say I didn’t warn you.” She spoke in a cold, harsh tone. Reese left, slamming the door behind her.

Sonny arrived at the Metro Court at exactly seven thirty. Everyone was in place. Sonny had booked the entire top two floors so innocent people wouldn’t get hurt. He began to think back to when he and Reese made love just a few hours ago. Why he let her go, he’ll never know but there was no turning back now.
It was now ten minutes til eight and Jason called Sonny to let him know that Manny and Javier Ruiz were on their way to the Metro Court with at least nine body guards with them. Sonny barricaded Jason and himself in one of the rooms while the other men were outside, ready with their guns.
It was now just a little past eight and all was quiet. There were no signs of the FBI being there yet and the Ruiz family were nowhere to be found. Then all of a sudden, the lights went out. About five minutes later, guns started going off.Both Sonny and Jason got into position behind the couch. Another fifteen minutes past and the harsh sounds of guns continued. For a brief moment the hallway became quiet. Then someone started kicking the door down. Two men shoved the door open and began to open fire as Sonny and Jason took cover. ~I think they shoot cause they want it I feel forces all around me Come on raise your head Those who hide behind the shadows Live with all that's dead Look at me... look at me At least look at me when you shoot a bullet through my head Through my head Through my head Through my head~ Once the men were all out of bullets, Sonny and Jason fired back and managed to take out the two men. They could hear more men coming so both Jason and Sonny took cover once again behind the couch to reload their guns.

Reese, Ric, Sam and another FBI agent arrived just before the shooting began. They could hear guns going off above them. Sam and the other agent went to go check the restaurant and the lower floor levels for any mob activities while Reese and Ric went to the top floors to arrest anyone who might still be alive.
As they walked down the hall, Reese and Ric could see nothing but lifeless bloody bodies and bullet shells on the ground. They followed the sound of gun shots and found two men just now falling to their death. The shooting stopped, which made it unusually quiet. Ric turned his head and saw three men approaching. It was Javier, Manny, and one of their body guards.~In my lifetime when I'm disgraced By jealousy and lies I laugh aloud 'cause my life Has gotten inside someone else's mind Look at me... look at me At least look at me when you shoot a bullet through my head Through my head Through my head Through my head Hey all I want is what's real Something I touch and can feel I'll hold it close and never let it go Said why... why do we live this life With all this hate inside I'll give it away 'cause I don't want it no more Please help me find a place Somewhere far away I'll go and you'll never see me again~
Just as Reese was about to walk into the open room, Ric pushed her off to the side so that they wouldn’t be detected by The Ruiz brothers. Ric covered her mouth just as she was about to speak. Then when all was clear, he uncovered her mouth.
“What the hell is wrong with you?” Reese said in an angry, harsh tone.
“Nothing’s wrong with me. I just saved your ass. How about a little gratitude.” Ric sneered.
“Oh, no. I don’t think so. I was just about to arrest Corinthos and Morgan but now thanks to you, they’re gonna die.”
“Good. I hope they do. Corinthos deserves to die.”
Reese didn’t even bother responding to that. Saving Sonny now was much more important than getting into another argument with Ric.

Javier and Manny began to shoot at Sonny and Jason, but were stopped by a sharp pain shooting in their backs. Blood started running down the front of their shirts as they both fell to the ground dead. Their body guard turned to see who it was then also fell to the ground. Jason looked puzzled but Sonny knew who it was. ~She's here to rescue me Clear my mind, and set me free If it's dark, she still shines A masterpiece made by design She's here to rescue me Stain my mind with make believe If it's dark, she still shines She's my lady, so divine Lady so divine, come and change my mind Lady so divine~
“Sonny?” She started coming closer. “Sonny, I know you’re there.” She leaned against the wall, with Ric standing next to her, and turned her head as she spoke loud enough so Sonny would be able to hear her. “I told you not to go through with this.”
“It’s too late, Reese.” Sonny hollered.
“No it’s not too late, Sonny. You still have a chance. All you have to do is drop your weapon and this can all be over with.”
“I’m not going to prison, Reese. I can’t handle it.”
“Please, Sonny. Just drop your gun.”
“I’m sorry, Reese. I wish things were different.”
Reese looked down as she began to cry. Without warning, Ric walked passed Reese and into the doorway of the room that Sonny was in. Ric began shooting at Sonny, not even trying to hit Jason. Reese realized what Ric was doing and tried stopping him but it was too late.
Sonny fell to the ground with blood oozing from his chest. Reese ran over to him with tears pouring from her eyes.
“Sonny...” She knelt down next to him and held his hand. “I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean for...”
Sonny pressed his finger against Reese’s lips to stop her from talking. “Shhhh...There’s no need for apologies. I want you to know something before I die.” He began to speak in a faint whisper.
“Don’t say that Sonny. You’re not gonna die. I won’t let you.” She gave him a half a smile but with tears still covering her face.
Ric became irritated. “Come on Reese. We have to go. Back up will be here any minute.” He started pulling her away but Sonny continued holding onto Reese’s hand, reluctant to let go.
“If I had to do it over again...” Sonny’s voice started to crack. “I would’ve given up my entire business for you.”
Reese was overcome with emotion. Ric started to pull a reluctant Reese towards the door.

Thanks, Girls! I have just finished this story! Instead of just one ending, I wrote two because I saw this story ending in two very different ways. The original ending ends in a positive upbeat and is mostly for ReeSon fans. However, the alternate ending is sadder and it ends with a crazy twist.

A two weeks went by and it seemed as if Sonny vanished off of the face of the earth. After Ric and Reese left the Metro Court, Durant came with backup and searched for Sonny but couldn’t find him. He had gotten away somehow. Reese had been hoping that Sonny was okay but he looked pretty bad the last time she saw him.
It was the day of her wedding but even though Reese was marring Ric, she couldn’t stop thinking about Sonny. Reese was already dressed and at the church. Sam was her maid of honor. Sam hadn’t seen Jason either but she wanted to try and focus all of her energy on Reese because she was a nervous wreck. It was time for the wedding to start. Sam was about to start walking down the aisle when she stopped to turn and look at Reese.
“Reese, are you sure that you want to go through with this?” Sam asked.
Reese hesitated and looked at her father, who was standing next to her, then looked back at Sam.
“Yes. I’m sure.” Reese said, not sounding too convincing.
“Alright. Here we go.” Sam walked all the way at the end of the aisle.
It was now Reese’s turn. She grabbed a hold of her father’s arm and began to walk gracefully down the aisle to where Ric was standing. They joined hands as the minister began speaking. Ric had a smug look on his face. He schemed for this woman and killed for her, too. Now she was about to be all his forever. No one can mess this up now. Ric thought.
Reese, on the other hand, was praying for a miracle. She wanted to marry Sonny, not Ric. But there was nothing she could do about that because for all she knew, he was dead.~Where'd you go? I miss you so, Seems like it's been forever, That you've been gone. Where'd you go? I miss you so, Seems like it's been forever, That you've been gone, Please come back home...Please come back home...Please come back home...Please come back home...Please come back home...~
Reese went back to listening to the Minister. “If anyone should show just cause why these two should not be join in holly matrimony, please speak now or forever hold their peace.” All was silent.
“Fine. Let us begin.” The Minister was about to start but was interrupted by the church doors opening.

Two unclean, unshaven men stepped into the church. Every head turned to see who it was and whispered amongst themselves. Sam ran over to one of the men and threw her arms around him. Reese followed Sam with her eyes then stopped. Reese lifted her hand up to her mouth and covered it in shock. Tears began streaming down her cheeks. Reese slowly began walking over to Sonny. Then she ran straight into his arms and cried hysterically onto his shoulder.
“I love you, Sonny. I love you. Don’t ever leave me.” Reese pulled away and looked into his eyes.
“I promise I will never leave you again.” He placed a tender kiss on her lips.
Ric was watching the whole thing and was about to explode.
“It wasn’t enough for you to dump me once for this thug but you have to go and do it again?” Ric shouted at Reese.

“What are you talking about, Ric? What have you done for me?” She asked confused.
“Well, for starters, I’m the one that slipped you that drug.”
“What drug?”
“Oh come on, Reese. Don’t tell me you’re that stupid? The night you screwed Jason. Remember? You probably don’t even remember that night but I slipped you that drug so that Sonny would find out and dump you. Then I used your pain as a way to win you back. It was a perfect plan but he had to go and ruin everything. So I shot him for you. I tried to kill him but apparently even thugs have nine lives. ” Ric said with a smug smile.
Reese threw her bouquet in the ground and started walking over to Ric. He thought that she was going to change her mind but he was completely blind sided when Reese’s left fist connected to Ric’s right eye. He quickly fell to the ground in pain.
“You son of a bitch.” Reese shouted down at Ric.
Sonny jumped in and held Reese back to stop her from slugging Ric again.
“Come on, Reese. He’s not even worth it.” Sonny pulled her away and held her hand. She threw her ring at Ric and Sonny began leading her towards the door. Everyone from inside the church went outside and watched as Reese, Sonny, Jason, and Sam drove away in a black limousine.
Sonny held Reese close, fingers intertwined. “God, I love you, Reese.” He gave her a small peck on the lips.
“I love you, too, Sonny.” She looked up into his eyes. “Where are we going?”
He gave her a cocky grin. “It’s a surprise.”
“Sonny, you know how much I hate surprises.”
“I know. That’s why it’s a surprise.”
“What are you up to, Corinthos?”
“You’ll see.” They kissed once more before the limo stopped.
They all got out and onto Sonny’s private jet.
“So this is your surprise?” Reese asked as she sat down next to Sonny.
“This is just part of it.”
“You mean, there’s more?”
“Yep, so sit back and relax.” The plane took off and landed a few hours later at Sonny’s private Island.
Once there, Sonny, Jason, Sam, and Reese went into another car that took them to a beach. When Reese got out of the car, she saw a man standing in the sand with a book in his hands. Reese looked at Sonny confused.
“Sonny, what is this?” She asked.
He grabbed both of her hands and held them in his. “Reese, ever since the first day we met, I knew that you were different. I somehow felt that I could trust you, not only with my life but with my heart. We have been through so much together in the past few years. And I want to live the rest of my life with you by my side. When I wake up in the morning, I want you to be the first thing I see. I want to have my children with you. I want to grow old with you. Reese, will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?” His hands started to shake.
She was so overcome with tears that she couldn’t even speak. So she shook her head yes and pulled him in a deep, meaningful kiss.
