Hey everyone!

Today was the day that Christina and I finally got to meet each other when I went and hung out with her at the St. Louis airport during her layover for her Florida trip! Can I just tell you how cool she is? Awesome is all I can say; it was definitely worth the trip over to hang out and meet another friend I've made through my time here at KWO! But, the day didn't go "quite" as planned (I'll get into that in a bit!) LOL

First, I hit the road at about 5:15 this morning and realized about halfway down my street that I'd forgotten my cell phone (this should have been an omen of things to come)! So, I turned around and got it, since Christina would be calling me when she landed in St. Louis. Anyway, talked to her a bit while she was waiting to board the plane in Cleveland; nothing like the play-by-play of the latest issue of "People" to keep you awake on the road so early in the morning!! LOL

I arrived in St. Louis and took the shuttle to the terminal where Southwest Airlines comes in and promptly ask to get an "escort pass." Christina had called them about it and basically, it's a pass so you can go thru security to spend time with someone so they don't have to come out into the main terminal. Well, I'm out of luck, since you need to almost be the Pope to get one! So, I called Christina and she had to come out and meet me. Good thing there was a Starbucks or we'd have really been S.O.L.!!!

We talked and laughed and the 3 hours just flew by! I'm so glad I made the trip to meet her and spend time with her because she is such a sweet girl and so damn funny! And, so down to earth too! We had each other laughing about everything from high school cheerleaders to why in the heck is Star Jones' head is SO DAMN BIG now??!! Plus we had a few laughs over the fact that Christina is a "girly girl" and I'm the opposite....a woman who will always be a bit of a tomboy!

So, I recruit some dude with a Blue Tooth in his ear to take our picture and he was great about it! Then Christina had to go back thru security to board her connection to the "real" vacation in Florida! After a few hugs, she was on her way and so was I. This is where the real fun began! After getting back to my car, I come to realize that I've LOST ALL OF MY KEYS!!! Yes, Diane had a brain fart of epic proportions! So, I jump back on the shuttle and high-tail it over to the terminal and Starbucks, but no luck I can't find them anywhere! So, I called my new man Jeff, and he showed me today that he is the real deal and a true "keeper!" He went to my house, picked up my spare keys and DROVE 3 hours to St. Louis to bring me my keys!! So, not only did I get to meet Christina today and have a blast with her; I realized that Jeff is perfect for me....all in all, a great day and one that was supposed to happen, I'm thinking!

Anyway, I'm back home safe and sound tonight, but I've included some pics I took while waiting for Jeff to come and rescue me! I took a cab downtown and went to the St. Louis Arch, which is absolutely amazing! It will turn out to be one of those moments in life that you'll laugh about for years to come.....just wasn't so humorous at the time!! LOL

Too funny Shaun! There's a reason we didn't do the Mouse Ears!!! I lost mine in the remodeling and after searching all over for them, we had to go without! Christina was very happy about that, BTW!!!

BTW, Christina felt so guilty about me losing them; thought it was all her fault! No...it was my fault for being a dumb-ass and losing them!

Jeff is a wonderful man....sweet and caring, which is very hard to find these days. For him to drop everything and drive 3 hours speaks volumes to me. Glad you liked the recap! I really hope you get to enjoy your 4th of July fireworks!! Happy 4th Andrew!

It was really nice of Jeff to bring my keys to me in St. Louis! As Dennis said this morning..."he's really got it bad!" LOL

Glad to hear the meeting went well! All except the losing keys part of it that had to totally SUCK Diane but glad you can find humor in it now and that you were able to find out how far the new man would go for ya. Nice pics.

What a story! The losing your keys part must have blew, but Jeff is quite a guy to drive all the way there. You are probably right that you're going to laugh about this years later. Sounds like you and Christina had a great visit!

Funny part is.....I married Jeff and we still laught about it today! As a matter of fact we have an anniversary party for my St. Louis key loss every year now on the show! Isn't it amazing how things work out?
