It seems like lots of people, including myself, have been disappearing and re-appearing lately. So, I'm just curious about what everyone's been doing and most importantly, HOW everyones been doing. Some of us go to school, while many work, and a small percentage do both. Incedently, many have inadvertently abandoned (sorry, couldn't think of another word to describe it) this messageboard. Now's your chance to gripe and/or gloat about what has been going on in your life as of lately.


Guess since I started this thread, I'll go first.

School really sucks. I've been taking four classes this semester which has been draining me emotionally as well as physically. And adding work into the mix does not help at all. However, good news is I finally have my own car. YAY!!!! And finals are coming up soon which means I am almost done with classes, for this semester anyway.

So, enough of me, anyone else care to share?

You know me, I'm just doing my thing. I got lots going on, like school, work, moving, and so much more. But I sleep when I can, it's after all my favorite thing to do. I go a new nephew and he's the cutest thing in the world. I am good and I miss all my KWO friends so everyone needs to talk to me, lol.

I've been busy with school. Semester exams are next week and, I'm going so hate it. I had a thing for one of my friend's brother, but he has a girlfriend so I'm moving on; my cousin girlfriend hooked me up with a guy. So I was boyfriend shopping for awhile.

Well, I've basically been up to socializing, gatherings, and parties. LOL It's been a fun holiday season and it's not over yet!!

I know I'm late to the party! Basically, I've been working and worrying if they're ever going to increase my hours on more of a permanent basis. I've also been in weird moods. LOL! I know... not that interesting.

Well; 2008 was the year I had to give up work for health & stress related reasons. I hated work towards the end (crap manager. I was doing her work too, so my own began to suffer), but now I’m bored out of my mind. And grumpy. The medication I’m on leaves me tired and nauseous, so I’ve spent loads of time on bed rest.

Just to give yet another update on yours truly... I've decided I'm going to take a temporary break from school (just a semester). My mom and I just recently moved. I also fractured my left wrist, which sucks becuase I write with my left hand. Lucky me, though, I had a whole week off from work until I got my cast on. I might be getting it off Tuesday. Heres to hoping. Oh, I also got another part-time job, which I will be starting as soon as my cast comes off.

(Sex, Unix, & Rock & Roll is the only thing that comes close to a substitute for Sex, Drugs & Rock 'n Roll.) It's a Geek thing... (I had to go read my USENIX button to get it right. This getting old is a bitch. )

I'm Sitting here in Limbo waiting for the pieces of my new Hackintosh to arrive. I got a little "found money" so I convinced myself that I deserve a new "Toy". So I'm building myself a replacement for my old "Quicksilver" Macintosh. I'm so tired of always fighting these damn IBM PCs that I've finally been on the Macintosh for most of this last year. Now I want a fast one. So, I'm replacing my 867 mHz Quicksilver with a Quad cpu 3 gHz machine with a couple of Terabytes of disc. That should be fast enough for awhile...
The Hackintosh And when you have nothing to do and you're waiting for a new love-toy you get into all kinds of trouble... And Goldie Hawn.

Oh, one more thing, about two weeks ago my balloon pilot won another balloon at the "Key Grab" here in Albuquerque. I'm guessing that "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" was worried as she is 22 years old, and that's a lot, (in balloon years.) Back in 1986 Gerry won Lucy at the Balloon Fiesta, and this year he won another. Time will tell what the next chapter in this story is. Watch This Space...
